Being a Pirate is Alright With Me

I've payed my dues for a week, sec repping for hi-sec entry. Almost all the way up to above -2.0 I lost my ratting Hurricane. With the loss came acceptance of the sec status I had at that point, albeit not perfect, and I spent some time doing my part in faction warfare. It wasn't long after when Kaeda Maxwell announced the impending closure of Crimson Reach due to numerous reasons, all of which I understand completely. There were no hard feelings but some disappointment, especially since I spent a week repairing my security status. I had some conversations with my good friend Sorn Nordvind, discussing possibilities we could pursue, but after a while it became apparent that we were going to head into different directions.

Even though I spent a week grinding back sec status, I hated letting targets slip by me. I started shooting ships, leaving the pod so the sec hit wasn't too bad, but even that was hard to do. During this time of wandering around without a corp made me realize something about myself:

I AM A PIRATE!

Don't get me wrong, it's not due to a love of inflicting pain. I just like fighting. Call it an inbred Minmatar thing if you will, but the thrill of battle is like fuel to a spaceship for me. Limiting engagements to only pirates or only FW pilots just doesn't cut it for me. I want to shoot anyone I want.

All I needed now was a corp who shares my love for combat. It was Kaeda who suggested I join the Tuskers. To be honest, I didn't deem myself worthy of joining the Tuskers at first, but after a little pep talk from Kaeda, I decided to go for it. One week later I was accepted to their ranks and I've been enjoying it ever since. Their recruitment is now officially open, so should you feel like you have what it takes to join, go apply on their forums.

I've been experimenting with a bunch of T1 frigs lately, my most recent discovery being Tristans! After getting my ass handed by these one too many times I decided it was time to try them out. I love them! They are so versatile, being able to handle most T1 frig brawlers with relative ease. But don't let me get ahead of myself, I'll tell you all about it in my next post.

If you see me in space, come out and play!
